AirVPN
Edit: looking through the list of changes[2] does not inspire a lot of confidence in their fork.[1] https://github.com/AirVPN/openvpn3-airvpn[2] https://github.com/OpenVPN/openvpn3/compare/master
Surfshark VPN
Surfshark is a paid VPN, I would never choose to use a free VPN. Furthermore, Surfshark has been audited by Cure53 to check their browser extension security and got a good review https://cure53.de/pentest-report_surfshark.pdf To put it short they earned my trust
Speed
AirVPN
At one point, and I don't know why, I had amazing speeds with AirVPN for 10 min, only on Deluge and nothing else. I thought I had found the answer but nope, a half hour later I couldn't get anything to download anymore. I have not been able to repeat that success again. And to be very clear, despite wanting this for movies and TV shows, my test torrents are linux distributions and public domain stuff
