I'M showing you the screen on my Mac and while they do offer dedicated apps for each of the major platforms, both desktop and mobile, you'll notice that they're lacking apps for Linux, media players like the Amazon, Firestick or extensions for anything other than Chrome.. Thankfully - and this is another thing I do like - I don't have to give them my personal information to use this service.. I can find neither Jim Roberts, the CEO nor Valentina Perez the media contact anywhere else online, the only person I can find this lady named Rochelle or Rachel Welch, who claims to be the COO of Atlas, but she has no work history prior to Atlas and nothing Beyond a few press releases and written interviews., That's just fishy. I could be wrong, but I have a strong hunch that all of these people are fictitious, personas. That includes the CEO, the COO, the media contact and even this medium writer.. Also I recognize the
Atlas is a new company

an available network of only
500 servers in 17 countries

is pretty small in comparison
to other VPNs in the market.

I mean, express VPN has
3000 servers in 94 countries

in 59 different countries,
you know what I mean?

The truth however, is that
we don't need thousands

of servers as long as the ones
that they offer work well,

and they do. If you
take a look at my screen

where only the three servers
are available to use,

it unlocks the rest of
the global server network

for each of the major platforms,
both desktop and mobile,

you'll notice that they're
lacking apps for Linux

or extensions for anything
other than Chrome.

Thankfully, and this is
another thing I do like,

I don't have to give them
my personal information

And from a privacy standpoint,
I really like this.

The software protects you from
accessing malicious websites

which you won't find are any
advanced security features like

split tunneling, choice
of connection protocols

And that's okay, because
the software's marketed

and priced appropriate
to those limitations.

Hey what is going on guys? My name is thomas spark and welcome back to another video today we're going to be checking out atlas vpn, putting it in the new 2.0 tierless system. If you guys haven't seen the tier list go ahead and check out vpntureless.com, this website has the 1.0 tier list, which is fully complete, reviewed around 67 vpns over the last couple years. Now we're putting all the same vpns in the new rating system here in the channel, which is a little bit more accurate and up to date. So if you haven't uh decided which vpn to use yet, i would recommend an s-tier vpn we're going to see if atlas vpn can fit the qualifications of what i would deem an s-tier vpn, because i believe those are the best products to buy. So if you do want to support the channel, if you want to support this video click on some of the links on vpn to your list or find some of my recommended affiliates in the description down below anyways guys, let's get on to the atlas vpn review. As you can see here, we are on their main pricing page and actually they do fit quite a lot of the things that i'm looking for. Really, the only thing they're missing is an affordable, one-month price. Pan um, it is ten dollars um, just right at that point, where we don't really wan na see anything above that we're looking for something under ten dollars. I don't think i've ever really found in a vpn exactly to be ten dollars as of yet in the current review system, but just to be clear here, i am looking for it to be under ten dollars and do six to ten dollar range. One cent under ten dollars doesn't really count um. So moving on after that, we also don't see a six year plan, but everything else atlas vpn has done very well. Three year plan is fifty dollars which is insanely, affordable, and i can't really tell, but at least it doesn't seem like there is an increase in pricing. There could be some page here on the website and something like that. We'Ll try to look out and see if we can find something like that in a little bit. Actually, one year is very good too for one year thirty dollars and again i don't see any stipulations here where the price does increase. You have unlimited simultaneous device support, which is very nice. Considering that you know some vpns like expressvpn have five and other vpns also have limitations too. So we do like that uh unlimited device use. Actually, the thing is, they are using um countdown to clock timers just like this one. What happened was that i clicked go premium on the application, because i think it like defaults to some free model um. So i clicked that and then there's like this website landing page, which is like telling me that this deal on the premium plan is gon na end sometime soon um. If i click it, what happens exactly um? It just takes me to the same deal. That'S going on now, so it's like. Why is this acted like it's limited time? Uh not really sure could be some kind of cookie programming here. Let'S go ahead and dig a little deeper, though, if we could see if there's any price increase after the first terms, because that would definitely ding them some points. So what i could find here, it says that the recurring fees are subject to change so maybe later on down the line in two years or something after some of these plans start getting closer to end out. This vpn then could um increase the recurring subscription price. Like nordvpn and surfshark do that after the first two or three years, it's now more expensive per year than it was for three years, so atlas vpn what it could do after two years. They could change the one-year price to a hundred dollars and make it auto-reoccur that way, and that way they will guarantee themselves some profits in the coming years. So definitely i'm gon na be looking out for something like that um. I would not even say that this vpn's even two years old, so we're not really sure if the price is going to increase, but as of right now it seems like you should be okay, at least for the next two years. Overall atlas vpn doesn't have the worst pricing policy, i'm a little skeptical of it and we'll have to see how it does in the future. Um, like i said, i still think they could increase the price at some point and that's something people are gon na have to watch out for because from what the terms and conditions say, it does sound like it's gon na auto renew at that price point. So guys, if we take a look at the application, as you can see, it's pretty bare bones: uh we have some basic stuff here. Basic servers doesn't really seem to be much way to like filter them or organize them really pretty much. If you go to the settings, all you can mess with is a protocol we're gon na pick wire guard. It also has like a basic kill switch, which is good, so some of the basics, but definitely nothing too complicated here, which in some ways can be a good thing. That said, the application is definitely missing. Some things like one it doesn't have fire stick support. I couldn't find it on the app store for amazon. It also doesn't have any web extensions, and it also doesn't have splits on yelling, which is one of the features i like to look for in an application, since it's kind of fun and kind of a cool thing to have. I also couldn't find any information within the app about ad blocking or any of those kind of features. Also, the application doesn't seemingly have a dark mode which kind of sucks, and i think it's just a little too basic and if we're being honest, it's also missing a lot of compatibility features too. Outside of the extension, the fire stick support: there's no linux, gui, no dns controls within the main application; no port forwarding no stock by proxy and no dedicated ip support. So it's definitely not a good compatibility based vpn for being able to do whatever you want with it. So overall, i kind of find the application disappointing, although workable. I guess it really just has a couple of the fundamentals, but is missing a lot of the extra things that a lot of other vpns have nowadays and are pushing towards. It really hasn't improved that much since the last time i used this application still just so basic now we could go ahead and do some speed tests to see what kind of speeds we can get with atlas vpn um for a good vpn speed. I like to get around 700 to 800 megabits per second on this website. Um anything under that is not quite as fast as i want. Um atlas. Vpn does look to be showing a pretty good showing here, though, exactly kind of in that range. I was talking about so we're off to a good start here with atlas vpn, alright guys. So we are starting this uh speed test for torrenting with atlas vpn and we are getting pretty good speeds. One little thing i didn't notice, which was like some kind of bug, was that like for some reason, i couldn't like load q-bit torrent until i disconnected atlas vpn and not really sure why that would be an issue, but definitely something weird. I noticed, and it was kind of causing me some issues. We are getting excellent speeds, though, with atlas um, pretty similar to stuff like nordvpn and shiftshark and stuff like that, so yeah, overall, very nice speeds so guys. Now we are at the privacy audit of atlas. Vpn going to see if it is a private vpn in terms of how the business is made, is it friendly for your overall privacy at the end of the day? Why do you want to use a company that has ad trackers on their website connections to facebook and google and stuff like that, if it's a privacy company, so that is something we're going to be looking for and unfortunately, atlas vpn misses the mark here. Just like a lot of other popular vpns that are ran more like a business. In my opinion, you can see here that, according to this test, the website has six ad trackers connections to alphabet inc, facebook and warner media llc, um, five third-party cookies. It could be monitoring keystrokes and mouse clicks according to blacklight um and according it is monitoring user keystrokes um. It also tells facebook when you visit the website and it is using google analytics. So this is uh like um, probably one of the worst black reports. I'Ve seen yet on the channel just alongside something like ipvanish, so definitely concerning here when some vpns out there can get zero on each one of these categories. We'Ve seen here on the channel and yeah, that's not a very good privacy score for black light. Additionally, if we take a look at their android application, we have three trackers um. This feels more standard to me and not that have a permission count, but still some concerning things on here like this um, so um. Keep that in mind so far not doing too well. If you look at the privacy policy, there's nothing really that concerning in here my feelings about the company. Are that um? I don't really know too much about it. A lot of people don't really know too much about it. They have like an about page on the website. Um. That says, you know we prefer to be anonymous because we want to protect our employees um, it's just uh and they say they're in the united states and delaware. But that's kind of like a famous spot for like shell companies that want to have companies in the united states. You know if a offshore company wants to have a company united states a lot of times, they'll put it in delaware because of low corporate taxes and stuff like that um. So that is a little bit concerning to me that we don't really know the people behind this company. We see other vpns lately like surfshark, for example, you can find their full company listing here on the website all their employees. All you have to do is click on the about us page and they'll list all their employees um. So i think this is a good way to do it. We vpn also has a similar thing listing out all the employees and stuff like that. So i think more companies are going this route um, especially since that's been something i've always advocated for more transparency with employees and stuff. Like that, i really don't think any of these people are in danger from anyone. Really it's just kind of more about that transparency and openness, whereas you know something like atlas vpn. No one really knows anything about them or you know the company behind it, so so it does make it harder to trust it. In my opinion, good news is atlas. Also seems to be working with the us version of netflix right now, as you can see here, we are have green zone, which is a us netflix title and since we are connected - and you can see it, it does mean that it is working. So that's very nice good news is: it also works with hulu, 2 and other streaming services in my test, so overall very nice, fortunately, from what i could find there doesn't seem to be any live chat on the website, so i am going to have to send In a support ticket, i'm going to be testing out to see if the support can respond within one hour, because that's a requirement we have here for the best support other vpns on the channel have been able to meet that deadline. So let's go ahead and see if atlas vpn has support agents around the clock so guys now, we've gotten to the end of the review. How do we finally rate atlas vpn? Well, it's a b-tier vpn in some ways. This kind of surprises me because, in certain aspects, atlas vpn really doesn't do well at all. The application on pc is extremely basic, really only having the basic fundamentals of wire guard and, like a kill, switch, that's pretty much. It has really changed that much from the last time i reviewed it. They have a lot of room there to expand compatibility and, if you're, someone looking for a vpn that works on fire sticks, has extensions port forwarding all those kind of things. This is definitely not the one to pick that said, they do really well in speeds. It'S a very fast vpn, um fast, as just as some other ones out there and they've really done it kind of improvements there and kind of leads me to believe that there could perhaps be some indication of or using some other server network or something like that. For a brand new vpn, that's just kind of come out of nowhere to get these kind of speeds. It'S a little bit odd to me, but not too sure about that one in terms of support. We didn't really see good support here. We didn't see any live, chat options and the support ticket wasn't answered within an hour. Streaming works. Fine and works very well works with netflix as of right now, and it's similar to the speeds um. It'S a little strange to me that this no name vpn kind of works so well streaming a little bit odd as well. That said, overall atlas vpn, i don't know if i'd recommend it for most people here on the channel um, some of the things about it. Like some of the pricing, things are a little bit questionable to me. I'M not really sure how long term this pricing system is going to stay without increasing in cost also, the application being so basic um is definitely a downer. I would recommend you guys to check out some s-tier vpns or, if you do like atlas, vpn, go ahead and check it out um, if you do want to anyways guys thanks for checking out this review i'll see in the next one very soon. 

AtlasVPN Review 2.0 - Was I too Harsh? BRUTALLY HONEST!

Vpn is a pretty special vpn, that's defining the best free vpn for streaming and taunting right. This is impressive: [, Music, ], [, Music, ], so i'll have to run this through the application analysis to see what kind of score this is. This could get it overall. Application is pretty bare bones: um not really too much to it doesn't have a ton of servers either pretty limited here in terms of servers. Um, let's see what it's like when we connect. So what do you do you? Just hello connect um. So what do we do? We just pick we just what clicking on this. I just click here can't connect, so i terminated the application and now i'm trying to get it to work again. [ Music, ] um. I don't really even understand really how to like connect. It'S not like working over a little settings to configure uh has the latest version atlas vpn. This doesn't click on anything. Let'S try a different server. Maybe try this one.
